I Hate The Basement

Augggh!

I have mice in my basement and they are unstoppable.  Since I spend about 99% of my life down here, this is pretty damned inconvenient.

I've set traps and have trapped and killed six of them.  I even beheaded one, which was both gross and awesome.  Yet, somehow, they persevere.

And I can hear them in the walls.  IN THE WALLS.

I mean let's face it.  Nobody likes the basement.  If you came up to me and said "I love my basement, it's awesome" I'd call you a liar to your face.  I'm 26 years old and I still have all the lights on downstairs because I'm scared of being axe-murdered and having my axed up body stuffed under the floor or into the walls.  Now, with added mice.  I still jog up the stairs.  Again, afraid of being murdered.  Don't act like you don't do it, because you do.

And now I have little squeaky rodents roaming around my basement, shitting God-knows-where, and preventing me from putting my feet on the carpet.  My feet either sit under me on my chair or on top of my computer's sub-woofer.

There's no way I'm putting them under the desk.  I can't see them there and without warning, some mutant mouse is going to gnaw my feet off.  I'm terrified.

I'm also lazy.  Ridiculously, I-haven't-gone-grocery-shopping-in-a-month lazy.  So when I ran out of traps, that was it.  Honestly, I figured I'd pick some up at work, or on my way from work or my brother would grab some on the way from school, but it hasn't happened.  Damn us both being lazy.

So now, the mice have a fortress stronghold in my basement.

Anyone have a snake I can borrow?
